I want YOU for the Order!

It's Egbert again. This time, you're brushing your teeth when he flows out of the faucet along with the tap water. You make a note to ask Cuttlefish exactly what spells she has been casting on her Merry Beast.

Egbert is wearing a top hat and monocle, and seems to be trying to strut about with a cane.

Once your mind ceases boggling, you manage to choke out, "H-hi, Egbert."

He looks crestfallen. ::You see thru disguise?::

You quickly shake your head. "Never mind, I'm thinking of a different duck. Who are you, oh secret agent duck?"

The duck brightens up. ::Could tell you,:: he whispers, ::but then'd hafta kill you.:: He looks around furtively before passing you a note, then vanishes up the faucet. Yep, you definitely need to have a talk with Cuttlefish about that duck.

You sigh, shake your head, and break the seal on the parchment. The note reads:

Dear Housemate,

It's been a hectic week, what with the fleeing from Death Eaters, fleeing from a cat that I thought was a Death Eater, and more fleeing from real Death Eaters, but I've managed to glean some information about our fellow Ravenclaws' doings.

So far, a total of 83 'Claws have joined the Order. If you aren't one of them, might you consider joining us? You have exactly one more week to send in your proposal.

Your housemates have been quite busy with their plotting and planning. No names will be mentioned in case this letter is intercepted, but I can tell you that your friends are involved in the following and would be happy to have you join them:

• A small team is gathering, polishing, cataloging, and crafting things out of precious, six-sided gems in order to impress the Gringotts goblins. If you've got a pox not of the dragon, chicken, or small variety, you should think about joining them. 64 gems will suffice!


• A few 'Claws are designing their own patterns and would love your assistance if something goes wrong with their High-Risk Spell Casting.


• Quite a few of us will be patrolling Hogwarts by posing as OWL students for a variety of subjects -- if you choose this mission, you might recognize some of your housemates as you make the rounds. Remember not to give away their identities!


• In Central Command, we have several people becoming Secret Keepers, which will speed up the flow of information, but we could always use more.


• If you're thinking about a circular shawl or blanket, you might want to apply for a post at 12 Grimmauld Place and join your classmates there.


• Or, if you're seeking adventure, you might want to journey into the Forbidden Forest or abroad to bring allies to our cause.

Remember, the Order needs you and so does Luna.
