LOTW

Alright, at this point I am going to stop pretending to have it up each Monday. I am doing my best to get it up each week though. Geesh!

Here we have the Wiblingen Monastery Library, Ulm, Germany.

Information about this lovely place can be found here.

An Excerpt:

"The library, completed in 1744, is one of the most famous rococo buildings in Southern Germany. The ceiling paintings by Franz Martin Kühn, the architecture, the sculpture, the delicate pillars of the gallery, the extensive stucco work and the natural lighting all convey a picture of complete harmony. June Bugs

Early in the morning, as students begin making their way into the common room from the dorms, they begin to notice a very large sheet covering a very large... something... against one wall of the tower. Silverwing26 can be seen bustling about around the large object fussing with this and that.

"Alright, I think I have all of the spells in place now. Hmm... have I forgotten anything..."

She mutters distractedly to herself. Her wonderful twin, BoppingBeth, finally comes up behind her and asks...

"What ARE you doing?"

Silverwing26 jumps not having heard her approach!

"Ack! Don't DO that... I'll show you!"

She laughs and then turns to get everyone's attention!

"Attention Claws! I am about to unveil that which we have been working towards this term!"

With a flourish of her wand the large sheet vanishes from the large... thing. Underneath it is a HUGE glass terrarium. The massive glass tank hugs the side of the tower walls and stretches inbetween two book cases. Inside of the tank all of the flowers that were magically created and collected in May are growing happily. A gentle rumble is heard now and then as some of the April showers manifest themselves to water the flowers.

"See what we've done! Isn't it grand! Well, now you see we can commence with our insect experiment! It is now June. As the old saying goes... April Showers bring May flowers, and what to May flowers bring? JUNE BUGS! So this month my fellow Claws we will be filling our Terrarium with Bugs! Lots and Lots of bugs! As you can see, I've dropped a few of them in there already just to make sure the environment suited them."

Any 'Claws looking can see a Lady bug and a snail crawling about happily. BoppingBeth laughs and pokes Silverwing26 in the arm.

"Hey, you know a snail is NOT a bug right?"

"Really?! Well, FIDDLESTIX!"

The Rules:
  1. It must be started and finished this month
  2. It must be knitted or Crochet this month.
  3. These submissions absolutely CAN be submitted for classes, or other forums as you see fit.
  4. No Stress! These challenges are just for fun and give us reasons to award prizes!

The Gloves Are Off...

Slytherin has challenged us!, yes us, fellow Ravenclaws. Will we let the call go unanswered?

The challenge:

They think that they can enter more linked Charms/Potions projects than we can.

Hahahaha, silly Snakes!

Plan and ponder, fellow Eagles! This challenge is right up our alley!

May's Mystery Class

The Mystery Class for May was History of Magic. I chose it because of how much I love what Prof. AlexisT has done with it. HoM has come a long way since the early days when it was made up of random quizzes. It also gave me a chance to knit something I had wanted to do over the break and didn't manage to fit in.

The winner of the prize selected by random.org was pkitten. She will receive an eagle token from me.

June will again have a mystery class and a chance to win a prize if you do a project for that class.
