Peck's Pirate Adventure, day 11
The High Seas
12th Day of Spring Holidays
Oh, dear Ravenclaws! I have been unable to write because I was so worried about Peck! I thought for certain he would reach his destination on Thursday or Friday last, but he was slightly detained in a... what exactly is a "Mail Room?" Is that like the Owlery?
Be that as it may, Peck has safely arrived at his destination, which can now be revealed: He traveled to bring a Reducio'd package to my own dear Evil Twin, LNS. We--Peck and I--were both delighted that somehow, wonderfully, LNS was designated as my Sockee this term. It meant that I got to craft for one of my very favorite people, and Peck gets to spend time with his not-so-Evil Twin, Penn.
He will spend another day in Scottsdale resting and having a ::hoot:: of a time, and then he will fly off to rejoin me and MightyGoodYarn on the Good Ship Rictumspempra.
We are nearing our destination, now. In just a day or two we should reach the Island where the Map says we will find the treasure. SadieLou, your honor is nearly assured!

Peck's Pirate Adventure, Day 8

Dear Ravenclaws,
It's been a nice day on the open seas. I'm glad I brought my binoculars. The birdwatching is terrifically exciting.
The cabin boys are looking at us strangely, so I've stashed the spellbooks in the WC. Soprano1 is worried silly about little Peck. Have you seen him?
I thought we could buy a new set of lab equipment with the riches from the cephalapod. What do you think?

Day 8 of Spring Holidays
Somewhere on the High Seas
The Good Ship Rictumsempra
Good Claws, I am becoming a little concerned about Peck. He left Monday night for _________ carrying a Very Important Package, and I have not yet heard from the recipient. She is certainly someone who could inform me by Magical means of his arrival, being a very powerful Witch in her own right... but I have said too much. It is a deep, dark secret.
Still, I am quite concerned. It is a long journey for such a small (though valiant) owl.
Our trip thus far has been uneventful; we are days out from our destination at ___________; the Golden Cephalopod Idol will, I feel assured, soon be in our grasp, and SadieLou will have its power to help bring the noble House of Rowena to victory.

Hope you are well. We're having a nice time with our books and knitting on the high seas. Can you believe some people actually go to jobs?
Would love for you to send some of those nose strips that stop people like Soprano1 from snoring... but you'll have to use your own owl. Ours is still in transit.

Peck's Pirate Adventure, Day 5
Day 6 of Spring Holidays
Somewhere in the Carribean Sea
Yesterday we took a great stride in completing our Quest. In a tattered manuscript in the library in S_________, MightyGoodYarn discovered the information we have been seeking: a map showing the location of the Golden Cephalopod Idol. Without her extensive research before coming here, we never would have uncovered this amazing lead.
I immediately booked us passage on the good ship Rictumsempra, whose captain is a friend of my aunt, Bertha Weasley, whose father married a Muggle accountant. We find the accommodations spare but comfortable. We share a cabin, and thus far MightyGoodYarn has only had to stun me once for snoring. We set sail on Tuesday evening, and thus far our travels have been uneventful.
No sign of Peck yet... but I don't expect to see him until Saturday.

Peck is still in transit. It may be several days before we see him. But the skies are clear and he's a fine little owl.
MightyGoodYarn and I have been lounging on the beach and searching the libraries for evidence. Hope all you wonderful Claws are doing well!

Peck's Pirate Adventure, Day 2
Dear Ravenclaws,
Soprano1 and I are having a lovely evening at the seaside. We set sail tomorrow morning. Peck will join us shortly. Enjoyed some very nice fish and chips for supper. We'll write again soon!

Peck's Pirate Adventure, Day 1
The Ravenclaw Common Room
Day two of Spring Holidays
MightyGoodYarn and I have determined that the very best use of our Spring Holidays will be to seek the Golden Cephalopod Idol and bring it back to Ravenclaw Tower. Its powers, according to the ancient texts we have been studying, are considerable. SadieLou should have it: it will ensure her success as Head of House and Ravenclaw's continued prowess in the House Cup.
There is, of course, no concrete information as to the Idol's location. On a scrap of parchment tucked into one of the books, however, I discovered a snippet of information... I will not write down our destination as it might be too dangerous to reveal. Suffice it to say that we have booked passage on a ship departing from somewhere South of Hogwarts. At least where we are going, there will be no danger of snow.
On Monday, I shall have to dispatch Peck on a Very Important Mission. By that time, we should be closer to his destination, so he should have no trouble delivering his wee package and then returning to meet us on our ship.
Ah! I see MightyGoodYarn is ready to go. I must pack!
