Ravellenics: Team Frost Eagles

Do you watch the Olympics? Do you craft while you're watching? Then the Ravellenics is the activity for you!

This all-Ravelry event takes place during every Olympics, and since Ravenclaws like to do ALL.THE.THINGS., we have our own team, the Ravenclaw Frost Eagles. Participating couldn't be simpler: start and finish one or more event-inspired project(s) during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, February 9 - 25, 2018. Start the minute the Opening Ceremony begins, and finish by the end of the Closing Ceremony. There's even categories for frogging a project and finishing WIPs.

Since the Olympics is entirely within the month of February, projects completed for Ravellenics are eligible for House Cup points. Submit your project in the Cup for homework, then head over and submit the same project to the correct Finish Line thread in the Ravelllenic Games group. There are 15 different events which you can read about more on the Ravellenic Medal Categories page. Be sure to share your project in the Tower to earn your special Ravenclaw medals (badges!)

Special Notes
When creating your project pages for any event other than Aerial Unwind or WIPs Dancing:
  • the start date must be February 9, 2018 or later;
  • the project status should be set to “in progress”; and
  • the progress calculator must be at zero (a wee bit of green will show; that is ok).
If you are entering Aerial Unwind, your start date will be the date you started your project, which must be before February 9, 2018. When frogging is complete, you change the “in progress” or “finished” status to “frogged”.
For WIPs Dancing, your start date will be earlier than February 9, 2018. When you finish your project (hooray!), you change the “in progress” status to “finished”.
Since the process of registering your projects can be a little tricky, we have a team of helpers and a thread in the Tower to answer questions, brainstorm projects and help as needed. Check out the Ravellenics - Frost Eagles thread to chat about your prep for the games. There's even a sample project to show you how to set up your own project pages.

Remember:
Official Start Time: 20:00 Pyeongchang Time, Friday, February 9, 2018
Official End Time: 23:59 Pyeongchang Time, Sunday, February 25, 2018

We hope to see you on the Frost Eagles team at the start of the Winter Games!
