The term has already started and in the first week we have already come across some terms that some of our newer 'Claws might not be familiar with!
Prjónfesta - Prjónfesta is our unofficial swatching holiday fest! Anyone who needs to swatch for an OWL can submit their swatch in the Common Room and Cyprienne and Martin Freeman will come along and give them a badge! This all started in April 2015 when Cascadienne was discussing the Islandic translations while translating her pattern
Then Nightgigjo took it to the next level saying that swatching was a knitting party and it's been ravenlore ever since. Read here for more details.“The word for knit/ting is prjón. Gauge = prjónfesta. In my mind, prjónfesta = knitting party.”
Opadoo - This was first started by gwenschweitzer's older daughter who always referred to octopuses as opadoo. She shared this with the Common Room and we have lovingly adopted it because we love opadoo and sea creatures!
Spreadsheets! - If you haven't noticed yet, we love spreadsheets!!! We have a spreadsheet of spreadsheets that contains spreadsheets for a lot of patterns. People add to it all the time! We also have points tracking spreadsheets and many, many pages of stats for all of the activities that go on in the Tower. We're all a little mad about spreadsheets!
