Weekly Showcase Wednesday: First Pickle Awards of the Fall Term!

The summer seemed to really fly by and suddenly fall term was upon us, and now we are already two weeks in!  And in the short time we've had so far, there have been some amazing Ravenclaw projects posted around the House Cup.  So it's time for the fall term's first round of Pickle Awards!

First off, I want to show off all the projects that caught my eye as I was scrolling through class threads.  In past terms, these projects would have earned a Golden Pickle Award.  But not this term.  In honor of beast mode, we have the Golden Pickodile!

Pickle Awards generally only go to projects turned in to classes, Quidditch, or the Headmistress Challenge, but there was one Detention project that was just too spectacular to leave off the list.  PinkLemons finished up a stunning blanket, which she created herself based on pretty floor tiles on a Singapore walkway.  Wow.

siouxsieshoe crocheted a rather charming cthulhu for Feeding of Magical Creatures:

Ravenclaws are always taunting the Mallet of Sanity, and it appears that this term is no exception.  For succeeding in outrunning the Mallet of Sanity and achieving incredible feats, we have the Pickle of Sanity Badge!

ahanson08 knit a splendid shawl using an incredible 942 yards, in less than a week, for Feeding of Magical Creatures!

winemakerssister spun an amazing 2757 yards of singles and then plied them into a gorgeous skein of yarn, all in just a week, for History of Magic, and then turned around and spun another 4308 yards for Habitats of Magical Creatures!

Sometimes a project or a post triggers laughter, and for bringing out the giggles, we have the Darth Pickle Badge!

Animals in costume always make me laugh, and cubejelly's dog-as-reindeer, turned in to Feeding of Magical Creatures, definitely had me snickering:

lettisia made an incredibly amusing Squidditch Mascot for Healing...  a squid!  playing Quidditch!  including an action shot!

What an incredible start to the term!  I am looking forward to all the great projects to come!  See you next time!
