Monday Showcase: Kicking off the Spring Term!

We are just over a week into the Spring Term, and already Ravenclaw students have been turning in amazing projects around the House Cup! And interestingly, because the first Quidditch match asked students to finish some non-Rav craft WIPs, this showcase is predominantly non-Rav crafts! (In fact, there isn't a single knitting project, and only a few crochet projects and handspun skeins!)

This week I unveiled our new "traveling" Golden Pickle Award, which is awarded to those projects that just stand out!

NikkiFB got out her watercolors and painted four beautiful notecards representing the seasons for Charms:

priscillasewmad made a wonderful (and spacious!) project bag for Charms:

Bacs mastered her resin pouring skills to make a fantastic charm necklace for DADA:

Momtoaaandm spun a fabulous skein of purple and green yarn for Herbology and tatted a marvelous bookmark for Quidditch:

EngineersFalcon spun a stunning skein of yarn in a rainbow of colors (so happy-making!) for Muggle Studies:

S2five crocheted an adorable giraffe stuffie for Potions:

rosimoto crocheted an incredible hippo (more about this later) for Potions:

GirlyWithATwist made a delightful Sherlock inspired pouch for Quidditch:

FeoragRuadh made a lovely sewn project bag/basket for Quidditch:

dontpokeme311 finished tatting a delicate snowflake for Quidditch:

kaypendragon also showed off her tatting skills and finished a pretty bookmark for Quidditch:

Sumiregusa made some amazing inserts for her traveler's notebook for Quidditch:

Fabysdolls made a charming kokeshi keychain for Quidditch:

suzannemm finished a spectacular quilt for Quidditch:

Alethea put the finishing touches on an exquisite embroidered needle and pin keep for Quidditch:

It really wouldn't be a normal week in the Tower without someone trying to outrun the Mallet of Sanity.  This week one student succeeded and is thus awarded the Pickle of Sanity Badge!

rosimoto crocheted a 1000 yard heidi bear hippo in about a week WITH A BROKEN WRIST!!!

Congrats to all the badge winners!!!  Keep all those incredible projects coming, and stay tuned for more Pickle Badge showcases throughout the term!
