Geek of the Week: Louis Braille

As we leave Beauxbatons behind on this term's Ravenclaw Roadtrip, let's learn about a famous geek from France. 


Louis Braille was blinded in a childhood accident. At the age of twelve, he developed a tactile system of raised dots which allowed blind people to read and write efficiently. Although "braille" was not used widely until long after its inventor's death, it is now used around the world.
