Ra Ra Ravenclaw!

It's the first day of Fall Term 2013!!!

I am sure many of you have heard the battle cry in the Common Room (and noticed many people's Ravatars have a decidedly Egyptian theme).

Our own Head of House TrigirlJ even had a very Egyptian theme to the first post in this term's Common Room, encouraging everyone to go Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw!

You may be wondering, what exactly does this mean? It all began a few weeks ago, just after the End of Term Feast with DrusillaWormwood declaring that she was going to put the "Ra back in Ravenclaw" this upcoming term. This means getting that Cup back into the Tower!

So what are YOU going to do to help us carry the battle cry of Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw? Maybe it's doing "just one more" project a month; attempting an OWL or Mission; participating in Quidditch more often; remember every point helps!

So pick up the banner along with us and do what us 'Claws do best: SOAR!

Stop back here tomorrow where we will be showcasing everyone's Ready to Rock This Term manis/pedis. If Ravenclaw's have nothing else, we have team spirit!

The above imagine is a GIF image with a transparent background, so feel free to use it as a watermark or overlay image for a badge or ravatar!

Mad Scientist of Ravenclaw Tower!

There were SO MANY wonderful projects nominated for this past term's Mrs. Lovegood Memorial Prize for Mad Scientist. We wish a hearty congratulations to all those nominated. You all deserve a standing ovation!

But there could only be one winner and it was announced last week that for the Spring term our winner is Andryl!!!

She knit a GORGEOUS shawl representing the movements of the planets:

"From the center out, you can see the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, the asteroid belt, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Makemake, and Eris. After Eris I ran out of solid yarn, so as planned I represented the fact that the universe does not end with the solar system with a belt of rainbow yarn as I took care of the remaining short rows."

Want to know a little bit more about the Mad Scientist award and how to nominate a fellow 'Claw? Head on over here!

Once again congratulation's Andryl! What a way to represent Ravenclaw House!

Phoenix has landed. And the Newts are off.

August is here, break month or start of NEWT for those. The Phoenixes have landed, and the blogger tally is in.

We are in the lead! Yay! Not bu much though, so still excited for the final tallies.

NEWT proposals are due by 22th august. Have fun prepping NEWTs, those who have enough OWLs.
