Weekly Showcase Wednesday: How is February ALREADY over?!!?

February was longer than usual this year, and yet somehow it seemed much shorter than usual.  But that didn't keep Ravenclaws from submitting a slew of awesome projects as the month came to a close!  Here are all the badge-winning turn-ins from the end of February!










We start off with all the winners of the Golden Pickle Award!  These are all the projects that jumped out at me as I was looking through all the House Cup threads.

Jayannell knit a fantastic baby sweater for Arithmancy:



BookishStitcher spun a marvelous skein of yarn for Arithmancy:



bigsnakes impressed with her ceramics, making some splendid Christmas-y trays for Arithmancy and a collection of pretty bowls and jars (with really lovely staging photos) for the Headmistress Challenge:




stacymarie sewed several terrific sets of doll clothes (including shoes!!) for Arithmancy and Muggle Studies:



thtr4me is definitely keeping with a certain droid theme this term and made an awesome paper BB-8 model for Astronomy:



CacaoGoddess sewed an incredibly lifelike fabric peony for Astronomy:



otismurph designed and knit a spectacular colorwork hat for Charms:



treesh spun a gorgeous skein of silk yarn for Charms:



Hreow knit a lovely pair of socks for Divination:



EngineersFalcon spun a fabulous skein of yarn for Transfiguration:



Red knit a beautiful cowl for Transfiguration:



cyprienne knit a stunning lacy gradient shawl for the Headmistress Challenge:

As usual, there were a few Ravenclaws who attempted the unbelievable and succeeded in outrunning the Mallet of Sanity.  For this, they are awarded the Pickle of Sanity Badge!


sugaroni knit an entire sweater of almost 800 yards in less than a month for Ancient Runes:



electronjam really embraced the minisock weekend and knit not one pair, not two pairs, but five pairs of minisocks, all at the same time for the Headmistress Challenge:



Tikabelle knit teeny tiny things using embroidery thread and size 000 needles for Quidditch:













February seemed to be the month for experimentation, and several 'Claws have earned the Electric Pickle Badge for their efforts!


Chrissyteenychan wanted to overdye some orange yarn she had, so she set up an experiment to try out seven different dyes on her yarn in order to find the perfect color, and turned in the dyed yarn for Charms:



TwistedSticherFGE tried a new method of dyeing and splattered her yarn with Kool Aid for Muggle Studies:



Pumpahkin designed a card game in order to choose how she would apply dye to her yarn for Muggle Studies:



senkatnovo experimented with spinning art yarn in several different ways for Muggle Studies:













Finally, I had several good laughs while reading through all the House Cup threads.  These 'Claws are awarded the Darth Pickle Badge for their humor!


lindzabeth depicted the funny story of Doctor Ewe saving Derpy Puppy from a Dalek for Muggle Studies:



LeahandtheDragon equipped an octopus with amusing snow shovels for the Headmistress Challenge:



gwenschweitzer gave her opadoo a comical variation on snow shovels for the Headmistress Challenge:



specialKknits was hilariously attacked by a killer rabbit of Caerbannog for Quidditch:
