January Recap

I can't believe we're a month into term already! Let's see what happened in month #1.

Advanced Studies
For Order of the Phoenix, the division between, well, divisions went as follows:

Looks like Security Operations was the winner!

The 'Claws and the Snakes are neck in neck when it comes to BROOM submissions. We'll see what happens when March rolls around...
On to OWLs! Let's check out the proposals by subject.

Muggle Studies just beat out Charms for most proposals.

Again, we and the Slytherins are neck in neck! By my count, we had two more proposals than they did.

The Lab

This term, we're picking our own Lab Partners/Tutors! Come on in and enjoy the fun. Lab partners have ranged from Carl Sagan to the Tenth Doctor, and tutors have been Jane Foster and Steven Hawking, to name a few.

Convocation

January points logging is happening now! Don't forget to record your totals here.

Thank you everyone for a fantastic month! Remember, February is a short one, so craft! Craft like the wind!

Classwork Showcase

Let's see what everyone's been turning in this week!

COMC
Intrepid researcher OneNeedleKnitting (Lab Outpost 2348904, Expedition No.13094) shared her highly detailed report on the Forbidden Forest, with some interesting results. Read the whole report here.

Charms
This jar cozy has been decorated to attract prosperity, and xamonster's handiwork has attracted our attention for her beautiful work.

Herbology
AriadneWebb created this incredibly beautiful and fussy doily to represent the hard work put into the care of baby mandrakes.

Potions
rebuky stepped out of her comfort zone and used a self-stirring cauldron to great effect. Great match of yarn to pattern!

Flying

Rondaletts made a Huggabugga AND a matching square.

Muggle Studies

digitaldiina fufilled her broken promise to her husband when she finished up this gorgeous grey scarf for him.

DADA

SFcorgi made these fantastic mitts both as a tribute to “You Can’t Take Your iPod to Hogwarts" by That Arithmancy Witch and as a project with her lab partner, Damian Kulash. More details here!

Divination

Stormmoon researched hallucinations this month and came up with a Valknut blanket square.

Great job, everyone! January was a great month, and we can make February even better. Soar Ravenclaw!
